Contemporary Thought – Echoes of May 1968 and the Transgressive Politics

Synopsis

Part of the series “Contemporary Thinking”, the documentary “Echoes of May 1968 and Transgressive Politics – Can Life Be Outside the Norm” addresses the philosophical questions of the control society and crisis on the current stage of French thought in the late twentieth century, in particular the works of Michel Foucault, Gilles Deleuze and Jacques Derrida, on the ethics of French philosophers Guillaume Le Blanc and Pierre Zaoui. The documentary makes an assessment of what remains today of the avant-garde French thought of the late twentieth century as an instrument of explanation and intervention in social reality. It also shows that being outside the norm is tantamount to becoming invisible in today’s society.
