Part of the series “Contemporary Thinking”, the episode “The Suffering of Brazil – Gated-Community Life” is a social diagnosis of Brazil’s suffering, from the metamorphosis in the form of gated community, as seen by the focus Sigmund Freud and Jacques Lacan’s psychoanalysis, and analyzed by experts Christian Dunker, Nelson da Silva Jr. and Lívia Tourinho Moretto, professors of the USP Institute of Psychology; Vladimir Safatle, professor of the USP Department of Philosophy; Maria Rita Kehl, psychoanalyst and writer, and Nina V. A. Leite, professor at the UNICAMP Institute of Language Studies.
