A fictional series about the romantic comings and goings of six country women in the mid-twentieth century. Some succeed, some fail, but all struggle, whether consciously or unconsciously, for a new level of female independence.

Bahia Sun

“Bahia Sun” addresses with the Bahia War of Independence, which took place from 1821 to 1823. The large-scale conflict definitely expelled the Portuguese troops and consolidated Brazil’s independence, proclaimed in 1822 by Dom Pedro I. It also consolidated the creation and institution of the Brazilian Empire.
